About DreamWorks Water Park

DreamWorks Water Park is North America's largest indoor water park, featuring 15 water slides, 31 luxury cabanas, and a wide range of attractions themed after beloved DreamWorks films like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, and How to Train Your Dragon. Developed in partnership with DreamWorks Animation and ProSlide Technology, this park combines innovative water rides, family-friendly zones, and relaxing amenities.

Just a 5-minute drive from New York City, the park is a perfect escape for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy a tropical paradise indoors, regardless of the season.

History of DreamWorks Water Park

The water park is part of the American Dream Mall, a project that was first proposed in 1994 under the name Meadowlands Mills. Construction faced years of delays, funding issues, and redesigns. In 2011, the project was taken over by Triple Five Group, which rebranded the mall as "American Dream" and added plans for an amusement park and water park.

DreamWorks Animation partnered with Triple Five to theme the water park’s attractions after their iconic films. After several delays caused by funding challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic, DreamWorks Water Park finally opened to the public on October 1, 2020, offering visitors a truly unique indoor water park experience.
